Robotics Instructor

Key Responsibilities for STEM & Robotics Instruction

Teach Tinker Club's prepared science, robotics, coding, and engineering lessons.
Lead hands-on robotics challenges, science experiments, engineering projects, and coding activities.
Introduce new concepts through conversation, demonstrations, questions, and hands-on exploration.
Help students build, test, troubleshoot, and improve their projects.
Guide students toward solutions rather than immediately giving them the answer.
Use questions and hints to help students develop independent problem-solving skills.os Angeles.

Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
This is a part-time job but it is required to be committed to the length of any given program (Tinker club, after-school program, learning pods, etc.)
Might involve driving within 10 miles from out center in Glendale.
Employees are required to complete a background check that must come back clear.
Maintain a fun, flexible, and outgoing personality!
We train you in the curriculum and provide all materials. Our classes are year-round and we adjust the hours based on your availability

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Job Description:

Join our fast-growing team to teach and inspire young children ages 5-10, the fun of science. You will lead students to learn Science Technology, engineering, and Math (STEM), through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects. We are currently looking for energetic, and responsible individuals with teaching experience. A teaching certificate is not required but it is a big plus.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

Follow the provided lesson plans and projects in teaching the concepts
Facilitate semi-private classes, in-person workshops, and after-school science enrichment programs for children ages 5-10
Have a friendly and patient character to create a fun and educational class setting to teach hands-on STEM, coding, and robotics classes programs that meet for one to two hours each week
Drive to various class locations in Glendale and surrounding cities across Los Angeles.
Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
Attend paid training sessions online and in person
Attend the mandatory paid Staff Meeting every two weeks
Be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Be on time for all scheduled activities

Qualifications

Some experience working with groups of elementary-age (5-10) children (such as an afterschool teacher or camp counselor).
Strong science and explanatory skills are required.
This is a part-time job but it is required to be committed to the length of any given program (courses, after-school program, learning pods, etc.)
Must have a reliable car as you will be driving to Glendale and some cities in Los Angeles.
All employees must: complete an FBI background check that must come back clear.
COVID-19 vaccination is required as most customers that we work with (such as school districts) require proof of vaccination and/or COVID testing.
Minimum of 1 year of college completed. Degrees and/or graduate degrees are a plus.
