Tinker Club celebrated a historic win at the FIRST® LEGO® League Qualifying Robotics Competition, with one team earning first place in Robot Design and another advancing to the regional level. The achievement highlights Tinker Club’s commitment to empowering Armenian youth through robotics, confidence-building, and community-centered STEM education.

Tinker Club’s LEGO® robotics teams advanced to the regional and Southern California championship levels of the FIRST® LEGO® League, making history as the first Armenian teams from Glendale to reach this stage. One team earned first place in robot design, while both teams stood out for their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and steady growth throughout the season.

Tinker Club participated in Glendale Tech Week by hosting its annual “Parenting Little Engineers” event, bringing families together for hands-on STEM activities in the age of AI. More than 80 parents and children gathered at the Glendale Central Library to explore science, teamwork, and innovation through interactive engineering challenges.

Tinker Club students competed with two teams at the FIRST® LEGO® League qualifying competition, earning first place for the girls’ team and third place for the boys’ team. The results advanced both teams to the regional level and marked a historic milestone as Glendale’s first Armenian girls’ robotics team to win first place.

Melineh Zohrabian was invited as a speaker at the Annual Professional Development Day organized by the Board of Regents. The event brought together over 500 educators and administrators from 11 private Armenian schools to learn, connect, and grow.
